Assessment of moisture and mould of hempcrete and straw panels

Abstract At present buildings contribute a third of total greenhouse gas emissions. There is need for sustainable solutions and natural materials, which offer low-embodied energy their low impact has promising potential as construction alternatives. Hempcrete lightweight insulation material, provides natural, airtight, vapor-permeable insulation. Straw panels are also materials they consist extruded wheat straw surrounded with recycled paper on all sides. some risks, can be associated the use such - infestation, biological degradation, presence moisture, structural degradation.
